MONTHLY NEWSLETTER
This is the May newsletter - also including "Grouses of the Week." At 7.45 the other morning I watched a traffic warden ticketing the Tesco lorry parked on a double yellow line. Why did I feel so uncomfortable? Somehow I feel sure this is a regular morning occurrence. Perhaps I was overwhelmed by the traffic warden's zealousness, and wondered why this could not be transferred to another working environment. Perhaps I just thought it was part of a game, an elaborate daily ritual when Tesco park anytime, irrespective of the beginning of rush hour and causing an obstruction, because in the scheme of things the daily fine means nothing.
Have you ever tried changing an airline ticket, other than online I mean? I had to phone BA last Friday and was reminded of the Watchdog programme where certain companies were slated for keeping people hanging on the line. 45 minutes later..... Never have I held on for so long, only to be so totally irritated. I succeeded in changing my ticket and was told that I would be phoned back the following week as a different department had to calculate the change in price (including the £75 per ticket penalty payment) and it would take a few days. What do they have - a 15 year old sitting in the corner trying to do maths? No - I take that back. A 15 year old could probably do the sums in their head. I know. Let's swop the traffic warden for the BA "person" and maybe BA's service would rapidly improve.
Let's forget the last few days of awful weather and look forward to a long hot summer (we hope). Book yourself into a walking holiday, get fitter and have great fun. Or get into shape for summer with Fitness Revolution - if it works for Susan, it can work for you.
Don't forget to take advantage of a free Day Pass courtesy of Sunstone - a simple way for you to have a good day out and relax. And don't forget about the 2 for 1 deal offered by Restaurant Explorer.
